2017 in numbers
The growth was explosive in several ways. As a company, Critical Force has expanded from a 15 person core team to a family of over 70 games industry professionals.
At the same time, size of our office space has almost tripled to over 700 square meters (over 7.600 sqft) in two locations. We renovated our headquarters in Kajaani, Finland, twice last year, and also opened a new office in Seoul, South-Korea, as a result of our partnership with NHNE. Our team in Seoul has been developing an Asian version of our current flagship game, Critical Ops since June 2017.
Our staff is very international. Our people come from 13 different nationalities (Argentina, Brazil, Russia, Czech, Estonia, Finland, South-Korea, India, Holland, USA, Canada, Spain, Portugal). This was also noticed by the media in our small hometown, Kajaani, and we got into Finnish national news for that!
Our game Critical Ops has now been downloaded for over 34 million times and has over million daily players.
Our way to making games has based on close cooperation with our players since the very beginning of the company. With Critical Ops we have followed that path too. The year 2017 was busy in Critical Ops’ social media channels. The game has now over half a million followers combined in official Critical Ops channels, and our Discord server is also currently one of the biggest in the world with over 54.000 members.
Trusting and keeping in touch with our player community has paid off. YouTube content creators published over half a million Critical Ops videos last year!
We wanted to support our influencers, so out team created the Influencer Program, that has helped many of our content creators to enhance their videos and to grow their viewer numbers.
Company’s esports tournament efforts paid off as well. More than 350 community tournaments were arranged with the support of our Community Tournament Program.
